Straight answers. If yours isn't here, write to us and a person replies.

Does TooMany upload my photos?

No. Everything happens on your phone. There is no account and no server that ever sees a photo, a thumbnail or a filename.

Does the app use AI to judge my photos?

No. Nothing judges or scores your photos, and nothing is sent to an AI. You decide what stays.

What does “set aside” mean?

It marks a photo for review. The photo stays exactly where it is until you confirm a deletion.

How does deleting work?

Open Trash, check the selection, and tap Delete. TooMany asks once more, then your phone shows its own delete prompt. TooMany never deletes on its own.

Can I get a photo back?

Before confirming, use Undo, or restore it from Trash. After confirming, look in Recently Deleted on iPhone or your gallery's trash on Android while your device still keeps it.

Which permission does TooMany need?

Photo-library access only. On both iPhone and Android you can grant access to selected photos instead of all of them.

I denied access. How do I turn it on?

Open your device Settings, find TooMany and allow Photos. The app refreshes when you come back.

Does it change my photos or sync anything?

No edits, no uploads, no sync. It stores only your choices and counts, on the device.

Which devices and languages?

iPhone with iOS 16.4 or later and Android 7 or later, in ten languages.

How do I change the colors?

Settings → Color palette for Golden Stack, Little Moments, White & Wood or Palm Springs. Light or dark follows your phone's setting.

Need a hand?

If something looks off

Photos don't appear

Check that TooMany has photo access in your device Settings, then open the app again. With limited access, only the photos you selected are shown.

A deletion looked uncertain

The app never retries a deletion by itself. Use Recheck photos to compare the list with your library before deciding again.
